The Bagpipe Society The Bagpipe Society was formed in the mid-1980s with the object of providing a means of communication between players, makers and researchers, or indeed anyone simply interested in bagpipes.

Earl of Stamford Morris A mixed morris side dancing in the Cotswold Morris tradition. This year we are concentrating on dances from Adderbury, Badby, Fieldtown and Lichfield. We are based in the village of Moore in Cheshire, which is located roughly halfway between Warrington and Runcorn in the UK. We meet for practices every Tuesday evening at 8.10 pm at the Milner Institute, Runcorn Road, Moore and afterwards at the Red Lion, though in the summer practices may be replaced by pub dance-outs.

Sounds of Folk Ali O’Brien’s ‘Sounds of Folk’, was, until April 2006, a weekly feature on BBC GMR (now BBC Radio Manchester). The programme ran for three years, and featured interviews and music from local, national and international folk performers. Ali O’Brien’s ‘Sounds of Folk’ is now on Radio Britfolk. Each programme runs for a week from the date shown, after which the archive is available only to Radio Britfolk subscribers.
